A Brown Button Company
Over the years, Brown Button has encountered quite a few very significant items in our sales, from original Thomas Hart Benton paintings to 4 carat diamond rings, iconic mid- century furniture, and 18th century antiques.
We know estate sales are not always the best venue to sell the most significant items. In 2018, we launched Circle Auction with the mission to connect buyers and sellers around Kansas City’s most significant items. Giving those pieces a platform to reach the national and international audience they deserve.

Different Countries We’ve Had Register Bidders
Highest Price Achieved for a Single Item
Circle Auction is a 21st century auction house.
All bidding takes place online, through our app, or over the phone. This allows our Kansas City buyers to bid with ease while opening the door to bidders across the country and the world. To date, we’ve had registered bidders from 45 states and 68 countries around the world. The power of an online auction is in its ability to connect with the right collector regardless of where they live, be it Prairie Village or Paris, France.
Local and Global Approach:
We actively work to connect with local and national/international bidders with every auction. Locally we promote each auction to Circle and Brown Button’s combined 37,000 email and social media followers. On the broader scale, we list each auction on two different international auction sites. Each site has their own significant collector base, together representing millions of active potential bidders.
White Glove Service:
We offer free home delivery to any Kansas City area winning bidder. From a 7 inch Rookwood vase to a 7 foot Philadelphia highboy, our team will deliver it to your home for free. This is something no other auction company offers and helps ensure the process of buying at auction is easy and enjoyable.
Many of our clients need more than just an auction company to solve their needs. We regularly craft custom plans which may include auction, estate sale, consignment, donation management, and getting a home completely clean and empty so it can be sold. Our goal at the end of the day is to make the process simple and easy for you.
From a significant estate to a single item, here’s the four simple steps:
Send us photos.
Email us or fill out our 2-minute form. Tell us about your items and include a few photos. If it’s a significant collection, we’ll schedule a free home evaluation.
Pick up or drop off.
You can drop your items off or our team can come pick them up. We can even arrange picking up collections out of state.
We go to work.
We research, photograph, advertise, and promote our auctions locally, nationally, and internationally. Each auction is online for two weeks, allowing bidders to find the items they’re interested in.
You get paid.
After the auction, we send you a full accounting of each item and you receive payment.
