At Brown Button Estate Sales, our support team turns plans into progress. They’re the ones clearing homes, prepping pickups, managing logistics, and ensuring properties are left in excellent condition.

We’re hiring a Support Team Manager to lead this critical function in our KC operation. This role combines hands-on leadership, logistics oversight, equipment responsibility, and light handyman work—ensuring projects finish on time, equipment is ready, and homes are left clean, safe, and presentable.

This is a role for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship, notices what others overlook, and leads by example in the field.


What You’ll Do

Support Team Leadership & Project Execution

  • Lead and direct the support team during home cleanouts, pickups, and project closeouts
  • Ensure homes are cleared thoroughly, safely, and on schedule
  • Monitor daily progress and notify the General Manager when additional labor or resources are needed
  • Step in physically to help the team meet deadlines and maintain standards
  • Hold the team to Brown Button’s expectations for professionalism, care, and efficiency

Customer Pick-Up Support

  • Assist during customer pick-up days by:
    • Bringing bagged lots and furniture to customers’ vehicles
    • Loading items carefully and efficiently
    • Providing friendly, respectful customer service

Coordinate with Team Leads to keep pick-up flowing smoothly and on schedule

Home Cleanouts, Finishing & Logistics

  • Oversee cleanout timelines and final condition of homes
  • Coordinate labor and workflow to keep projects profitable and on track
  • Ensure items are staged, moved, donated, or disposed of properly
  • Perform or oversee light handyman work needed as part of cleanouts, including:
    • Spackling and patching minor wall damage
    • Touch-up painting
    • Applying wood refinishing or repair products to minor damage on floors, doors, trim, or furniture
    • Basic cosmetic fixes resulting from items being moved out
  • Ensure homes are left in a clean, respectful, move-ready condition

Vehicles, Trailers & Equipment Ownership

  • Take primary responsibility for the readiness and condition of:
    • Company vans
    • Trailers
    • Moving and cleanout equipment
  • Conduct routine checks including:
    • Tire condition and air pressure on vans and trailers
    • Identifying worn, damaged, or leaking tires and replacing them as needed
  • Track and communicate maintenance needs such as:
    • Oil changes
    • Trailer bearing repacks
    • Lights, brakes, and safety equipment
  • Notify the GM and office team when repairs or servicing are required
  • Keep vehicles and equipment clean, safe, and job-ready

  • Mechanically and practically inclined—you notice issues before they become problems
  • Confident performing light handyman tasks and cosmetic repairs
  • Organized, proactive, and clear in your communication
  • Calm under pressure and solutions-oriented when plans change
  • Experience in moving, logistics, construction, property prep, or field operations is a strong plus

The Support Team Manager has a range in pay based upon management and industry experience. The role pay range is $20 to $24/hr.
