Help Great Sales Reach the Right Shoppers

At Brown Button Estate Sales, strong advertising helps more shoppers discover our online sales, register to bid, and remain engaged through closing.

We are hiring an Online Sale Advertising Coordinator to run and improve the systems used to present and promote our estate sales across multiple markets. This person will upload photos and sale information, create promotional emails and social content, publish sales across listing platforms, coordinate photo-editing workflows, and help ensure every sale is accurate, attractive, timely, and engaging.

This is an advertising-focused position centered on growing and engaging our shopper base. It is not responsible for acquiring estate-sale clients, generating seller leads, conducting sales appointments, or leading business-development efforts.

The role combines detailed, repetitive execution with creative judgment and continuous improvement. The right person will be comfortable following established processes while also exploring better platforms, tools, advertising methods, and workflows.

This role must be approached with an AI-first mindset. We are looking for someone who naturally uses AI to improve writing, organization, testing, quality control, automation, and efficiency while maintaining careful human review.

What You’ll Do

Online Sale Presentation

  • Coordinate the online presentation of estate sales across multiple markets
  • Create clear, compelling, and accurate sale titles and descriptions
  • Select banner images, featured images, and other photography that best represents each sale
  • Upload photos, descriptions, sale details, and promotional content to the appropriate platforms
  • Review online sales for accuracy, clarity, formatting, visual quality, and completeness
  • Present each sale in its best light without exaggerating or creating misleading expectations
  • Publish sales as early as practical and update them as stronger photos or additional information become available
  • Coordinate with GMs/Team Captains when additional photos, context, item details, or clarification are needed

Email Advertising

  • Build and send promotional emails for upcoming and active online sales
  • Follow and improve the email rhythm used to promote each sale
  • Maintain consistent email templates, formatting, links, and branding
  • Write and test subject lines, preview text, headlines, featured content, and calls to action
  • Segment shopper lists when useful for a particular market or sale
  • Review open rates, click rates, registrations, and other available performance data
  • Run practical A/B tests and use the results to improve future emails
  • Help grow the company’s email list into an increasingly valuable shopper-engagement asset

Estate Sale Listing Sites and External Advertising

  • Publish and maintain sale listings on platforms such as EstateSales.net, EstateSales.org, Google Business Profile, and other relevant outlets
  • Ensure listing information, photography, links, and sale details remain accurate across platforms
  • Evaluate whether each platform is producing enough value to justify its cost and administrative effort
  • Research new listing sites, advertising outlets, and shopper-discovery channels
  • Recommend changes based on registration activity, bidder quality, cost, effort, and market-specific performance
  • Track platform performance where reliable data is available

Paid Google advertising is not currently part of this role unless separately assigned.

Sale-Focused Social Media

  • Coordinate social media content that promotes upcoming and active online sales
  • Create repeatable systems for sale-opening posts, closing reminders, featured items, stories, reels, and short-form video
  • Identify sale items, collections, or stories that shoppers are likely to find useful, entertaining, or interesting
  • Write captions and calls to action that encourage people to view the sale and register
  • Schedule and publish content across Facebook, Instagram, and other assigned platforms
  • Test post formats, timing, featured content, audience targeting, and boosted-post strategies
  • Track engagement and registration-related performance where measurable
  • Help Brown Button become an industry leader in promoting online estate sales through social media

This role is focused on attracting and engaging shoppers for our online sales. It is not responsible for seller lead generation, client acquisition or broader corporate campaigns unless separately assigned.

Photo-Editing Team Coordination

  • Coordinate the workflow and performance of the photo-editing team
  • Ensure photos are edited, reviewed, uploaded, and available on schedule
  • Monitor editing quality and consistency with company standards
  • Identify delays, missing images, quality concerns, or capacity issues early
  • Communicate clearly with editors, photographers, and project teams when corrections are needed
  • Help the editing process scale as the company adds more sales and markets
  • Evaluate new editing tools, vendors, systems, and technologies when they could improve speed or quality
  • Explore AI-supported methods for image selection, quality control, upload tracking, and issue detection

Photography Feedback

  • Review photography across sales and markets for patterns that strengthen or weaken shopper response
  • Provide useful and respectful feedback to photographers and Team Captains
  • Identify missed featured-image opportunities or items that need additional photography
  • Note recurring issues involving lighting, angles, backgrounds, consistency, or image selection
  • Help photography standards evolve based on what produces stronger online sale presentation

This position does not directly manage all photographers, but it plays an active role in helping photography improve.

AI-First Workflow and Systems Development

  • Use AI regularly for writing, editing, organizing, testing, analysis, and quality control
  • Build reusable prompts, templates, checklists, and workflows for recurring tasks
  • Look for opportunities to reduce manual repetition without lowering accuracy
  • Use AI to help create sale-description drafts, email variations, social content, testing ideas, and performance summaries
  • Explore practical AI-supported approaches to photo review, image selection, upload tracking, and issue detection
  • Maintain human judgment and review rather than publishing unverified AI output
  • Stay aware of useful developments in AI, automation, digital advertising, content creation, and photo-editing technology
  • Recommend and implement practical improvements rather than waiting for leadership to identify every opportunity

The goal is not for AI to replace judgment. The goal is to use AI to improve speed, consistency, creativity, accuracy, and scale.

Data Tracking, Testing, and Improvement

  • Track advertising and presentation performance by sale, market, and channel
  • Monitor available measures such as:
    • Total bidder registrations
    • Qualified and active bidders
    • Shopper-list growth
    • Email open and click rates
    • Social engagement
    • Listing-site activity
    • Cost per registration
    • Channel-level return on time or advertising spend
  • Compare similar sales rather than treating every sale as though it had identical inventory, location, timing, or customer appeal
  • Run practical experiments involving titles, banners, featured images, emails, posting times, social formats, and listing methods
  • Prepare a monthly summary of performance trends, lessons learned, and recommended improvements
  • Help leadership understand which advertising channels and presentation choices are producing meaningful results

What Success Looks Like

  • Sales are published and promoted on time with accurate information and strong visual presentation
  • Total bidder registrations and qualified bidder participation improve across comparable sales and markets
  • The company’s shopper base and email audience grow over time
  • Emails, social posts, listing-site content, and sale pages are clear, consistent, and engaging
  • Photos are edited and uploaded on schedule and meet company standards
  • Problems involving missing content, incorrect details, weak presentation, or delayed assets are identified early
  • Team Captains experience this role as an organized and helpful partner
  • Repeatable work becomes easier to execute through templates, documented systems, AI, and automation
  • Advertising channels are regularly evaluated rather than continued simply because they have always been used
  • The advertising process can support additional sales and markets without becoming disorganized or dependent on memory
  • Leadership gains clearer visibility into what is driving registrations, bidder activity, and shopper engagement

Who You Are

  • Highly organized and able to manage many small details without losing track of deadlines
  • Comfortable performing repetitive digital tasks accurately and efficiently
  • A clear writer who can make information more engaging without overstating it
  • Visually aware and able to recognize which photographs best represent a sale
  • Interested in shopper behavior and why one title, image, email, post, or platform performs better than another
  • Comfortable switching between creative work, administrative execution, and performance data
  • Proactive about asking for missing information before it becomes a problem
  • Able to communicate feedback clearly, respectfully, and constructively
  • Comfortable working independently while coordinating closely with multiple team members
  • Motivated by improving systems rather than simply completing the same process indefinitely
  • Curious about new advertising channels, digital tools, and ways to reach additional shoppers
  • Comfortable learning through testing, measurement, and iteration

Required and Preferred Qualifications

Required

  • Strong written communication, proofreading, and attention to detail
  • Confidence learning and using multiple web-based platforms
  • Experience using AI tools for writing, organization, analysis, or workflow improvement
  • Ability to organize files, images, links, deadlines, and information across multiple simultaneous sales
  • Ability to review AI-generated content carefully for accuracy, tone, and appropriateness
  • Comfort working with spreadsheets, performance reports, and basic advertising metrics
  • Reliable follow-through in a deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to work full-time from our Kansas City, Missouri office

Preferred

  • Experience with email-advertising or email-marketing platforms
  • Experience publishing content to websites, marketplaces, listing sites, or social platforms
  • Familiarity with Facebook, Instagram, reels, stories, scheduling tools, and boosted posts
  • Experience with digital advertising, e-commerce, auctions, estate sales, resale, or product listings
  • Experience coordinating photo editors, photographers, freelancers, or outside vendors
  • Familiarity with A/B testing, audience segmentation, tracking pixels, or campaign analysis
  • Experience evaluating advertising channels based on cost, effort, engagement, or registrations
  • Basic photo-editing or image-selection experience

Formal advertising or marketing credentials are welcome but are not as important as strong judgment, digital fluency, attention to detail, curiosity, and demonstrated ability to learn.
