The Brown Button team’s online estate auction in South Kansas City has ended. This sale featured a fantastic contemporary collection of furniture, jewelry, fashion, decor, mid-century art, and one-of-a-kind pieces. Notable brands included Restoration Hardware, Balenciaga, Crate & Barrel, Pottery Barn, Burberry, Silpada, and West Elm. This estate sale took place in March 2025 and is now closed. About this Sale

Bidding opens Friday, March 28th and runs through Monday, March 31st. This is a timed auction, and lots will begin closing Monday, March 31st at 7pm. Lots are scheduled to close 30 seconds apart. If a bid is received within the last 30 seconds, one minute is added to the closing.

There is a 15% buyers premium on all items. So if you’re the winning bidder at $100, the total will be $115.

If you are a winning bidder, you will receive an invoice at the end of the auction and your credit card on file will be auto-charged (there is no additional fee for credit card payments). We do not accept cash or checks for payment.

Winning bidders must pick up their items on April 2nd between 3pm and 7pm. Winning bidders will need to sign up for a pickup appointment time. Winning bidders will receive the full address on their invoice.

Brown Button contracts with a third party mover to provide a delivery option for our bidders. Delivery is available within 25 miles of the sale location. Bidders will need to submit a delivery request form using the link emailed with their invoice.

Sale Address: We post the sale address the day before the sale opens or you can sign up for our emails to receive the address in your inbox.

Payment: We accept all major credit & debit cards, cash, as well as local checks under $30 with a valid ID.

Large Item Assistance: Load out assistance by our moving staff is available for large items during most of our open hours, unless the price tag notes professional movers required.

Discounts: First day of our sale, everything starts full price. As the sale progresses, most items will be discounted 20%, 35%, 50%, and finally 70% off. We generally don’t negotiate about pricing, but encourage you to shop the day the discount fits your interest level.

Pricing: We know it’s helpful to see the prices in the photos before the sale opens. 99% of the time those prices will be the same on sale days. Occasionally during our final review some prices are changed from what was photographed.

Availability: In rare circumstances the client, their family, or a legal representative withdraws advertised items before the sale opens. Whenever possible we update the pictures and description to reflect the withdrawal.

Price Information: Due to the volume of requests we are unable to provide information about pricing before the sale opens. After the sale has opened you are welcome to call the sale manager at 913-815-0505 to ask price or condition questions.

Refunds & Returns: The majority of the items we sell are previously owned. We are unable to offer refunds or returns except for non-working electronics returned to the sale within 24 hours of purchase.
