Recently, one of Brown Button’s luxury sale events was photographed as part of a Kansas City Star feature on the changing face of estate sales.

The published article spoke of the influence technology is having on industry trends and delved into one of the most common reasons that people may choose to have an estate sale — downsizing after raising a family.

Such was the case for these particular Sunset Hill West homeowners, Colleen and Mark Patterson. Colleen is quoted in the article:

“It was very seamless,” she says. “They took care of everything. You leave everything you don’t want to take with you. Then they come in, stage it, price it and have a ton of people there. It was very successful.”

In addition to interviewing the Pattersons, the reporter also quoted Brown Button co-founder, Michael Fry, and spoke with several of our regular estate sale guests on the reasons they enjoy shopping at estate sales.
