Meet Circle Auction

A Brown Button Company

Some items are too significant to be sold in an estate sale.

That’s why we created Circle Auction. To give special pieces the national and international exposure they need to achieve their true market value.

Brown Button regularly encounters rare, significant, and highly valuable pieces in the course of our estate sales. While a local sale is effective for most contents, it is not always the right venue to maximize the value of truly exceptional pieces.

That is why we created Circle Auction.

Circle Auction is built around national and international reach. Through strategic marketing and partnerships across multiple platforms, we position significant, rare, and valuable pieces in front of highly qualified buyers across the country and around the world, whether they are in Boston or Beijing, Palm Springs or Paris.

National and International Reach:

Unlike a traditional local estate sale, Circle Auction is built to reach far beyond a single market. By positioning significant pieces in front of a national and international audience, we expand the buyer pool well beyond what a local sale can provide.

To date, registered bidders have participated from 49 states and 78 countries around the world. This broader exposure increases the likelihood of connecting each exceptional item with the right collector, no matter where they are located. The strength of a national auction platform lies in its ability to match significant pieces with serious buyers across the country and around the globe.

The Circle Difference

Local and Global Approach:

We actively work to connect with local and national/international bidders with every auction. Locally we promote each auction to Circle and Brown Button’s combined 37,000 email and social media followers. On the broader scale, we list each auction on two different international auction sites. Each site has their own significant collector base, together representing millions of active potential bidders.

White Glove Service:

We offer free home delivery to any Kansas City area winning bidder. From a 7 inch Rookwood vase to a 7 foot Philadelphia highboy, our team will deliver it to your home for free. This is something no other auction company offers and helps ensure the process of buying at auction is easy and enjoyable.

Solutions-Oriented:

Many of our clients need more than just an auction company to solve their needs. We regularly craft custom plans which may include auction, estate sale, consignment, donation management, and getting a home completely clean and empty so it can be sold. Our goal at the end of the day is to make the process simple and easy for you.

Selling At Auction

From a significant estate to a single item, here’s the four simple steps:

Email us or fill out our 2-minute form. Tell us about your items and include a few photos. If it’s a significant collection, we’ll schedule a free home evaluation.

2

Pick up or drop off.

You can drop your items off or our team can come pick them up. We can even arrange picking up collections out of state.

3

We go to work.

We research, photograph, advertise, and promote our auctions locally, nationally, and internationally. Each auction is online for two weeks, allowing bidders to find the items they’re interested in.
